A career, a week at a time

Boot Room is a football career played from inside one player rather than from a manager's chair. Play the match, spend what you earn on pace, shooting or passing, and answer whoever is waiting afterwards — a reporter, the manager, your agent, someone in the dressing room.

Sign the extension or hold out for a bigger club. Take the free kick yourself. Nineteen seasons later there is a career behind you: promotions and relegations, moves abroad, a first cap, cup nights, and a last game you did not know was the last one.
